Badge Application Process

All badge applications must be submitted through an Authorized Signatory. The Airport Badging Office does not coordinate directly with sub-contractors or vendors.

Step 1: Application

Airport Tenants: Airport Tenant Authorized Signatories are responsible for creating a new badging application on behalf of their new hires within the Authorized Signatory Portal. Please see the Authorized Signatory page for processes and training for authorized signatories.

Service Contractors & Vendors: If you are a service-contractor or vendor working at the airport, you may need to coordinate with the main project contractor or the airport tenant/sponsor requesting your services.

  • For services contractors and vendors looking to register their company as an entity at the airport please contact the Airport Badging Office via email.

Central IA Flying Club Members & South T Hangar Tenants:

  • Central Iowa Flying Club – Contact the club directly at 515-710-0120.
  • South T Hangar Tenants – Contact Amy Fredricks at 515-256-5006.

Step 2: Pre-Enrollment

Authorized Signatories must enroll new applicants through the Authorized Signatory Portal (AS Portal).

  • The AS Portal allows an Authorized Signatory to manually enroll applicant’s personal information or have the applicant be sent an email so they can enter their own personal information.
  • An Authorized Signatory can make a request for specific badge types and credentials such as escort.

The Airport Badging Office will review and send back any application that has errant information to an Authorized Signatories with comments.

A fingerprint appointment is ready to be booked by the Authorized Signatory when the applicant’s status is “Pre-Enrolled”.
