DSM is committed to ensuring safe and convenient travel to and from Iowa. The Des Moines International Airport Operations team is responsible for safety throughout the terminal and on the airport campus.

Safety Management System (SMS)

To report a non-emergency safety concern identified at Des Moines International Airport (DSM), please use the Confidential Report Form at http://safety.dsmairport.com. This form is not intended for reporting emergencies. If the safety concern is an emergency, call 911 immediately.

Work Order Requests

Airport employees and tenants in need of assistance can submit a work request through the Work Order Request Portal. Use the video request form to request video footage. A $50 fee may be assessed for video requests determined not to be related to airport security, safety, or operations.

Airport Tour Requests - Temporarily Paused

As we prepare for the opening of the new Des Moines International Airport terminal, airport tours are temporarily paused.

With construction activity and preparations for the transition to the new terminal underway, our team is focused on safely and successfully preparing for opening day. Tours are expected to resume after the new terminal opens in January 2027.

We appreciate your interest in seeing what it takes to keep DSM running and look forward to welcoming groups back in 2027!
