Des Moines International Airport Opens New Rental Car Center

Des Moines International Airport (DSM) today officially opened its new Rental Car Center (RCC), enhancing the customer experience with a modern facility that serves all rental car customers in one convenient location.
Airport leadership, contractors and representatives from DSM's rental car partners celebrated
the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held this morning at the new facility.
Beginning today, all rental car operations have transitioned from the terminal to the new Rental Car Center located on the south side of the airport campus. Customers can access the facility via a free shuttle service from the terminal. The shuttle ride takes approximately four minutes.
"The opening of the Rental Car Center marks another important investment in the LiftDSM
project, the future of DSM, and the experience we provide our passengers," said Brian Mulcahy, CEO of Des Moines Airport Authority. "This modern facility creates a more efficient rental car experience while supporting the continued growth of our airport."
The new Rental Car Center provides dedicated space for rental car operations and customer
service while improving traffic flow around the terminal. Dedicated shuttle buses operate
between the terminal and the facility throughout the day, providing convenient access for
arriving passengers.
Passengers arriving at DSM can simply collect their luggage, follow signs to the Rental Car
Shuttle outside baggage claim, and take the complimentary shuttle to the Rental Car Center.
